The Interlaken Group is an informal network of individual leaders from influential companies, investors, CSOs, government and international organizations. The Interlaken Group receives steering support from the Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). This website is owned and managed by RRI, a global coalition of more than 170 organizations coordinated by the Rights and Resources Group, a nonprofit, tax-deductible 501 c(3) nonprofit based in Washington, DC, USA, with a second office scheduled to open in Montreal, Canada in 2018.
The purpose of the Interlaken Group is to expand and leverage private sector action to secure community land rights. Together leaders develop, adopt, and disseminate new tools and advance new “pre-competitive” mechanisms to accelerate private sector learning on responsible land rights practices.
